Coming from Poole/Bournemouth/Dorchester, head for Wareham and follow the signs to Corfe Castle on the A351. On leaving Corfe Castle take the B3069 up to Kingston and then follow the ridge round to the left towards Langton Matravers. The campsite is on the second right turning after the village sign.
If you are coming from Swanage, as you leave the town follow the B3069 up onto the ridge into Langton Matravers. Pass Putlake Farm and The Kings Arms on your left and carry on through the village. The campsite is the last turning on the left as you leave the village.
Facilities include a simple toilet block with hot showers. The showers are on a meter so make sure you bring some 20p's! There is also a chemical disposal point on site and dustbin area which is emptied regularly.

"A pleasure to vist Acton Field Camping Site and Meet Mrs Murray, this truly is a wonderful site and stunning location which must be much appreciated by so many repeat customers. There is such a refreshing approach here, so much trust involved and a priviledge to see genuine engagement between owners and guests, creating such a welcoming atmosphere. The lack of pitch allocation is also a good way of ensuring satisfaction, leaving the decision making in the hands of the customer. Good onsite facilities the shower/toilet block being well maintained, clean and well presented. The new lodge is a significant advance and enhances first impressions. As a result a classification TWO PENNANTS is retained with a QUALITY SCORE of 80% now appropriate."
"As mentioned in many previous reports if you have a tent this is a must place to camp. The sloping site at first glance looks very uneven but when you explore further many flat pitches can be found. The small facility block is really good for this size of site and is well appointed and very clean. In my opinion the key to this site is to keep it as is - it's what the customers want and love, so why change a winning formula. Brilliant little campsite..." AA site Inspectorate 2017

"We stayed at Acton Field in the late part of October, although quite a risk from a weather perspective, we were extremely lucky. The location is absolutely stunning, great facilities and breath-taking walks." Dec 2016
"We found this campsite last summer after 25 years of camping in the Purbecks and wished we had found it earlier!" Sept 2016
