Pirate Festival 25-26 May
This festival is held on the Sand Pit Field, Swanage overlooking the Bay and beach. Dressing up for children and adults lots of fun for all. See photos on face book page.

Purbeck Arts Festival 25 May - 09 June
This popular display from local artists started as a week but now covers a fortnight. Local artists show their talents and skills over a number of locations from large displays to someone offering their home as a venue, all are worth a visit.

Fish Festival 15-16 June
All things relating to fish and the sea held in the Prince Albert gardens on the east side of the town the bay and the magnificent Ballard down as a back drop make this a spectacular venue. Displays, cooking demonstrations and much more make this a weekend for all.

Jazz Festival 7-9 July

Wilkswood Reggae Festival 18-21 July
A great weekend for all reggae fans. Kids zone, stalls bars and a number of stages all add to the enjoyment.

Swanage Carnival and Regatta Sat 27 July- 03 August
The carnival committee work tirelessly to make this week long event successful and special. All proceeds after expenses are shared by local organisations in 2019 26 chosen local organisations received donations from the £28,000 collected during the week in late July.
Saturday 25 start, the evening setting the scene for a fabulous week of fun and competitions. A firework display takes place at approximately 9.40 and one or two bands provide music.
The procession on Sunday starts at 3pm and is a spectacular array of floats, walkers and dancers in various guises and colours. Music is provided by bands and some floats entertaining thousands of spectators that line the route that covers most of the main town.
During the week there are lots of competitions – darts matches, a dog show and a wheel barrow race to mention a few. Every evening different bands and musicians are on hand to entertain. The week almost at and end Saturday evening is celebrated with a second firework display.
